Datuk Ong Chee Koen (“OCK”), Male, aged 65, Malaysian, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of E&J Group. He is an experienced construction and property development professional who is also a graduate in Civil Engineering. He has more than 42 years’ experience in both public and private companies. He started his career in construction in late 70’s as a Site Engineer, has both supervision and management experience in several public and private projects namely development for UKM University in Bangi, USM in Penang, Prince Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and several public buildings in peninsular Malaysia in the 80’s and 90’s.
His strength in construction and project management has him being entrusted by public works department to recover and turnaround three (3) abandoned public project during the late 80’s financial crisis. On completion, together with his partner, the project management company were rewarded as PKK class (A) registered construction company. He is also highly valued for his business acumen, acquisition, and merger scheme.
Ir. Yap Nam Fee (“YNF”), Male, aged 52, Malaysian, is the co-founder and Managing Director of E&J Group. He graduated in civil engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia in year 1994. He is also a professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is responsible for project development, project management and project coordination for the ongoing construction works and future projects of E&J.
With more than 23 years of valuable experience in infrastructure, building and property development field, he has worked through the corporate ladder in this sector. He started his career as a Project Engineer in Gamuda Berhad and thereafter with Kenneison Brothers Construction as a Senior Project Manager. He is an individual with strong and dynamic leadership skills in leading the company in completing every project under his guidance.
Ir. Ung Yoke Giap (“UYG”), Male, aged 44, Malaysian, is the Director of Kenting Development and Yotu Builders. He graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from University of Malaya in year 2001. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and a professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineer, Malaysia.
He has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in design and coordination of various types of property projects. With his well spoken and diligent character, he has succeeded in helping the Malay community by cooperating with them to develop more affordable houses, with excellent qualities at the outskirts of Klang Valley.
Tan Am Boon (“TAB”), Male, aged 48, Malaysian, is the Director of Yotu Builders. He graduated in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University in year 1998. He has been a member of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers since 2003 and American Society of Professional Engineers since 2005. Moreover, he is also a member of the Texas Floodplain Management Association since 2007 and a LEED Accredited Professional by Green Building Certification Institute (LEED AP BD&C) since 2009. He is responsible for project management and project coordination for the ongoing construction works and future projects of Yotu Builders.
With more than 23 years of valuable experience in infrastructure, civil and building construction, he is truly an individual of what we called “started from scratch” in this sector. He has been through numerous projects under construction giants such as Bina Wirawan and Meru Gemilang to accomplish multiple projects under his belt. With his skills and leadership, he has successfully completed multiple projects with Yotu Builders for E&J Group.
Pang Kah Seng (“PKS”), Male, aged 44, Malaysian, is the Director of E&J Damai. He graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University Putra Malaysia in 2001. He is currently responsible for the project management and coordination of projects in E&J Damai.
Having started his career in M-Factor Group in 2001, he has experienced every trade of construction and pride himself on his strong technical background. Furthermore, with his experience also in the development side during his time with Suncity Berhad in 2010, he has learned the responsibilities of both as client and contractor, which helps give him an edge to make an efficient construction process to produce a result with great quality. With more than 20 years of experience in building construction, he is an individual of great caliber.
Lee Yee Yan (“LYY”), Female, aged 45, Malaysian, is the Director of E&J Damai. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Housing, Building & Plannning) from University Sains Malaysia in March 2001. She has more than 18 years of experience in contract administration and construction of building – high-rise, landed house, shop lots, factory, and infrastructure.
She is responsible for preparing costing and submission, attending tender interviews and negotiation meetings, sourcing, costing estimation for value engineering proposal, preparing project cash flow and project budget, organising and coordinating the contract team, reviewing material cost comparison and sub-contract awarding, monitoring timely submission of claims; assessment of Variation Order (VO) and preparation of final submission of accounts to clients and sub-contractors.
